The Mexicans are loyal to their country, and respect is shown to the flag. Each color: red, green, and white have a meaning and a purpose. The meanings of the colors have changed a couple of times over the years. The green stands for hope in the future. The white representing the unity among the Mexican people. Lastly, the red showing the blood of the Mexican heroes. You might notice the bird in the middle of the flag.That bird has a snake in its beak, and it is standing on a cactus. This symbol located in the middle of the flag is known as the Mexican coat of arms. Did you know that the symbol on this flag is based on Aztec mythology?
President Enrique Peña Nieto, was elected in 2012 as Mexico's president. President Nieto will serve a six year term, that started on December 1, 2012. This man standing at five feet and eight inches tall, is the fifty seventh President of Mexico. As well as the husband of his second wife, Angélica Rivera and father of his three children. Forty six year old Enrique Peña Nieto, leads Mexico as a part of the Institutional Revolutionary Party.
